Ingredients of Colourful Xmas Sugar Cookies
- It's 250 grams of plain flour.
- It's 175 grams of fine sugar.
- It's 170 grams of softened unsalted butter.
- You need 1 pinch of salt.
- It's 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence.
- Prepare of Few drops of 2 different food colours.
- It's 1/2 tablespoon of baking powder.
Colourful Xmas Sugar Cookies instructions
- Combine sugar, vanilla and butter in a bowl and blend until soft peaks form.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well.
- Once done, add the flour mix to the butter slowly and keep folding in.
- Knead gently to form a soft dough for about a minute or two.
- Cover and refrigerate the dough for an hour.
- After an hour, preheat the oven to 180 degrees celcius.
- Take the dough out of the fridge and make 3 equal portions of it.
- Add a few drops of your choice of food colours to any 2 portions.
- Mix the colours well until well blended with the dough.
- Shred small portions from all the 3 set of doughs and spread roughly on a baking sheet.
- Bring them all together now. Cover with another baking sheet and gently press to flatten.
- Start to roll as usual and then cut desired shapes of cookies using cutters.
- Place the completed ones on a baking tray.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until ready.
- Let cool completely and then store airtight until consumed.
