- Prepare 120 g of soft unsalted butter.
- Prepare 250 g of Cornstarch.
- Prepare 100 g of Sugar.
- Prepare 1 of Egg.
- It's 1 teaspoon of Cardamom powder.
- You need 1 teaspoon of Vanilla extract.
- Prepare 1/8 teaspoon of salt.
- Prepare of Food colouring optional.

- In a bowl, blend butter and sugar for 4-5 minutes.
- Add egg and blend until pale and frothy.
- Add vanilla extract and food colouring. Mix well.
- Now add all dry ingredients and knead to form soft dough. Even if dough is lightly sticky it's ok.
- Wrap it in cling wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 180 and line baking tray.
- Make small balls of dough and slightly flatten it. Place on baking tray leaving gap between them.
- Bake for 10 minutes until firm. Do not over bake.
- Allow to cool for 15 minutes and then cool on wire rack completely.
- Store in airtight container. Munch on them as required.
